چکیده

A fair curve with exceptional properties, called the log-aesthetic curves (LAC) has been extensively studied for aesthetic design implementations. However, its implementation in terms of functional design, particularly hydrodynamic remains mostly unexplored. This study examines effect shape parameter ? LAC on drag generated an incompressible fluid flow, simulated using a semi-implicit backward difference formula coupled P2?P1 Taylor–Hood finite elements. An algorithm was developed to create hydrofoils that were used this study. We analyzed coefficients 47 three sizes various shapes flows Reynolds numbers 30, 40, and 100, respectively. found streamlined negative values, which curvature respect turning angle are almost linear, produce lowest flow simulations. It also thickness objects can be varied obtain similar different numbers. Via cluster analysis, it is distribution does not rely solely number, but hydrofoil.

Input of Compound-rhythm Log-aesthetic Curves

This paper proposes a method of inputting a planar log-aesthetic curve with compound-rhythm using four control points. The log-aesthetic curve does not exhibit any undulations of curvature as its curvature increases or decreases monotonically and it is suitable for practical product design. We report an method to input the compound-rhythm log-aesthetic curve made up of two log-aesthetic curve s...

Input of Log-aesthetic Curve Segments with Inflection End Points and Generation of Log-aesthetic Curves with G continuity

The log-aesthetic curves include the logarithmic (equiangular) spiral, clothoid, and involute curves. Although most of them are expressed only by an integral form of the tangent vector, it is possible to interactively generate and deform them and they are expected to be utilized for practical use of industrial and graphical design. However, their input method proposed so far by use of three soc...

Radiation drag effects on magnetically dominated outflows around compact objects

The effects of radiation drag force on the structure of relativistic electronpositron and electron-proton outflows are considered within the one-fluid approximation. It is shown that for a magnetically-dominated outflow the drag force does not change the particle energy inside the fast magnetosonic surface. In this region the action of the drag results in a diminishing of the Poynting flux, not...

Magnetic Curves: Curvature-Controlled Aesthetic Curves Using Magnetic Fields

We describe “magnetic curves”, a particle-tracing method that creates curves with constantly changing curvature. It is well known that charged particles in a constant magnetic field trace out circular or helical trajectories. Motivated by John Ruskin’s advice to use variation in curvature to achieve aesthetic curves, we propose to continuously change the charge on a simulated particle so that i...
